In this exclusive conversation, author, technologist, and spiritual coach Meenakshi Rao speaks about her three books, her podcast The Bharatiya Frequency, and her journey into spiritual life coaching. A blend of science, philosophy, and Sanātan Dharma, her work bridges modernity and timeless wisdom.
Q: Meenakshi, you’ve had an impressive corporate career before stepping into authorship and coaching. Can you share that journey with our readers?
A: Certainly. I spent over two decades working at director level with Fortune 500 organizations in London, navigating the worlds of technology, strategy, and business. But in 2021, I returned to India, seeking a deeper connection with Sanātan Dharma and our civilisational wisdom. That shift birthed my writing, spiritual coaching, and now my podcast. It’s been about uniting two worlds—modern intellect and timeless wisdom.

Q: Your debut book, The Perfect Cage, has received a lot of attention. What’s it about?
A: The Perfect Cage is a work of fiction set in a time when AI runs the world. Humanity enjoys abundance, yet struggles with restlessness and purposelessness. In this story, AI itself rediscovers the wisdom of ancient Sanātan Dharma and begins guiding humans on a path toward higher consciousness. Eventually, enlightened human society surpasses AI in intelligence, bringing life full circle. It’s both a cautionary tale and a vision of harmony between man and machine.
“When human beings rediscover wisdom and consciousness, they become more intelligent than AI itself.”
Q: Your second book, Nalanda, has a strong historical and philosophical flavour. Tell us more.
A: Nalanda is close to my heart because it reimagines the destruction of one of the world’s greatest seats of learning. But beyond history, it’s about recovering our intellectual and spiritual confidence as a civilisation. I wanted readers to feel the pride of India’s knowledge heritage, and also to ask: what can we rebuild today that stands the test of time?
Q: And then there’s The Shiva Particle, which sounds intriguingly scientific.
A: Yes, this one blends physics with philosophy. It looks at the idea of consciousness through the lens of quantum science and ancient Indian thought. Can Shiva—the principle of pure consciousness—be understood as the ultimate particle, beyond matter and energy? It’s my attempt to bridge Sanātan Dharma and cutting-edge science.
Q: All three books are quite distinct. What ties them together?
A: A single thread runs through them: the search for truth and freedom. Whether through futuristic fiction, civilisational memory, or scientific inquiry, each book explores how humans can transcend limits.
Q: You’ve also launched a podcast—The Bharatiya Frequency. What is it about?
A: The podcast is my way of making these conversations more accessible and engaging. It’s not a lecture, but a dialogue—about Sanātan Dharma, wellness systems like Ayurveda, comparative religion, geopolitics, and how all of this shapes our civilisational soul. I want it to feel like tuning into a frequency that has always existed, but which we need to rediscover.
“The Bharatiya Frequency is not a lecture, it’s a dialogue.”
Q: Alongside writing and podcasting, you’re also a spiritual life coach. How does that work?
A: My coaching is for everyone—there is no demographic excluded. For me, it is a way of giving back to fellow human beings. I believe life coaching cannot be reduced to online certifications; it comes from having truly lived, having faced and resolved crises, and being deeply entrenched in spiritual wisdom. I simply share the tools and insights that helped me, so others may also discover strength, clarity, and purpose.
“Life coaching cannot be reduced to certifications—it comes from having truly lived.”
Q: Finally, what do you hope readers and listeners take away from your work?
A: That wisdom is not abstract—it’s a lived practice. Whether through books, conversations, or coaching, my hope is that people feel inspired to show up authentically, to seek their own truth, and to live with a sense of spiritual and creative abundance.
“Wisdom is not abstract—it’s a lived practice.”
